just curious.. i'm considering dropping $600 on a Hugo Boss coat that fits & looks perfect... I dont really mind spending that much, but I've always found coats I like in the past for $300 or less.

If u don't mind, whats the problem? All depends on what u can afford. My cousin can afford to pay well over $1k for a coat, and regularly does, I can't/won't spend over $300.

outerwear is something i have the least trouble dropping money on
I spent around 300+ on a parajumpers, I probably wouldn't want to spend more than that on something. if you like it and it functions the way you want it to, then why not :dunno:

depends on the material. If your paying $600 on a cotton peacoat kill yourself. Make sure its good materials and find out where its made

Outerwear is pretty justifiable since it's so functional.

    But I'm cheap

I live in So. Cal so no more than $200 and usually I only buy one coat every 2-3 years. I have a gray pea coat from JCPenny (of all places) that I got in February for $60 7 years ago and it's by far my fave and it gets so many compliments. I think mostly because no one in Cali wears coats.
