probably a stupid question but i was wondering what would i have to do on a machine bike to become equal to that of a treadmill? I just started a working out at a gym and needed to know. And whats a good biking distance too.

I'd say it's about equivalent to 20 pound girl for 30 pound for guy

hey now don't get smart on me man, its a legit question. I'm trying to take it a little easier on my ankle since my fatass sprained it.

  4. Is your question, for a similar workout, how many miles should you go on a bike to make it equivalent to one mile running cardio/calories wise?

2 miles on a bike for every one on treadmill, but I'd prefer treadmill as soon as ankle will allow, if no bike for home then just take 20 if by 30 then run fatboy

I have no idea what you're talking about but there are specific studies that show being better at riding an exercise bike doesn't make you better at the treadmill but the treadmill makes you better at the exercise bike.

Its about time/intensity. Elevate your heart rate to where you'd be on the treadmill and maintain it for the same length of time. Its not complicated.

for a guy >175 lbs do 30, but for a girl <175 they do 20. 3:2 ratio for size compared to activity based on weight used

if you weren't such a gay you'd ride your regular bike on the treadmill. that shits like 5 to 1

  21. Even running on a treadmill is bullshit. Try running on pavement, way fucking harder.

exactly. definatly dont want to over do the 3:2 program. running three for two off then run two for three off will exhaust you. i would suggest lifting while running. no gym for home, work out floor with 30, but is it for 20 like 30 lb when you no lift it to be for men, for 30 lbs instead? or half is 10 for 20 pounds?

do that and you will be as lean and swole as you want:bigthumb:
