does it work a diff muscle?
Activation of bicep?
I think palms in will work biceps and palms out works the bicep+forearm combo, its just like doing a reverse grip curl. But wide grip and close grip will change what back muscles your using.
palm in is known as a pull up
palm out is known as a chin up
And then there's the parallel/ neutral grip.
Be careful doing wide ones, they're rough on your shoulders.
Doing them palm facing away(pullup) is more functional in my opinion, even though it uses a little less bicep. They pretty similar though.
Doing them palm facing out is better, although harder at first, because you use many more muscles.
