Like the Apple laptops are very attractive, and the pricing isn't too bad. Why all the negativity? Are they really that bad?

And is it just me, or are Apple users like Jehova Witnesses? Always nagging you on how Apples are so much better, and I should "convert." :ugh2: Does Apple give current users a free iPOD for converting a PC user or something?

I will say, the apple laptops look  as fuck. I love how thin they are, and that big ass screen turns me on. But I hate how they run. I think the run like shit, and I think the applications and what not are all :greddy:

Well, people that use Apple's tend to really like them. That should tell you a lot right there.

I use Windows and Unix at work, and have a Mac at home. I know all the systems very well but prefer to use my Mac. The differences are subtle but noticeable. At most going from one to the other would take no more than a week to learn.

People say that Macs don't have as much software, but in reality that is only true for games. If you play a lot of computer games, you want to stay with a Windows PC. Otherwise, you can use whatever you like best.

How are the applications :greddy: while the PC equivalents are not?

What do applications have to do with Apple's computers?

apple only supports apple hardware, macOS has limited software.

PC allows 3rd party hardware, lots of software support, windows is the standard for almost the entire business world.

If i had too much money, i'd have a tiny but powerful ibook in addition to a ultrafast desktop and a widescreen PC laptop. :)

Apple is seen to have a newbie-oriented OS, so the 'power-users' tend to look down on it.

They're both computers. I'd say there's more similarities between a mac and a pc than differences, they're really not that different in the great scheme of things. I have both a mac and pc. I use the mac only for home recording because they are a little more stable and tend to crash a little less than windows. I won't say they never crash, they just crash less often.

    Big difference.

Another thing I didn't like about MacOS was that I hated entering text into it. Maybe the tactile response of the keyboard was different or something, but even selecting text with the mouse felt off. Dunno if they fixed it in OS X. But their keyboard feel sucks either way. PC keyboard are going that route too. :greddy2:

Why would you want a laptop with a big ass 17" screen? That almost defeats the purpose of the laptop, except for very rare occations. :dunno:

The new iBooks bow under heat.
    The new OS rocks.
iPod's are infinately useful now that they are cross platform.
The 68i Sony also has bluetooth.
