Whats the best front projector for the money?

    ill be getting my own condo soon and im shopping around for an affordable projector for my basement.


    As far as lumens....more = better quality?

    i heard alot about infocus.....whats a good model to get?
    also, what other brand is good?

    if you have one, rate yours :)

    i guess between $500-900 (barely used items)

    im thinking of getting them in ebay.

    Then your only option is the X1 (unless you see rainbows then you'll have to go LCD but I would recc. spending closer to $1200 if you're going that route.)

    Costco has a Screenplay 4805 (essentially an X1) for $999 with screen and cables.

    And do you already have a sound system, seating, cabling, etc.?

    nope. i have nothing.. im just throwing ideas since im getting my own house soon. i would love to have this on my basement.


    which is better? X1, X2, or screen play?

    The X2 and X1a are crap, they cost more and have less features so stay far away from them.

    As for X1 vs. screenplay 4805, i'm guessing you're asking because I brought it up, the X1 IMO is the better of the two however you can't get as good a deal on the X1. The 4805 is a 16:9 projector while the X1 is 4:3, depending on what you wanted to watch on the projector the majority of the time that could make your decision easier :)

    Just remember you are going to need all that stuff so maybe figure out a total budget and work from there.
