Whats the average hourly rate for VB programming

    Whats the average rate for a VB program that pulls from a database...prints...etc

    I'm doing delphi stuff for contracting right now $60/hr

    depends on where you live too. Cost of living out here is lower, so you can pick a decent one up for $35-45 pretty easily

    If I was working on a consulting basis, I probably wouldn't charge by the hour. I'd either do it by the day or as a lump sum for the program, agreed upon in advance.

    yeah makes more sense, as contractors they should bid on the number of hours they are willing to work. So it ends up being $60x10hrs or $60x20hrs, which ends up being a lump sum.
