Why test the range of something with music as limited as classical and jazz?

    Uhhh....

Iv'e heard some pipe organ recordings that have strong output in the 10hz range...

The dynamic range on most classical music is a million times better than pop music too.

limited? you've just proven what an idiot you are. I bet you think only highly-compressed techno-trash can tax a system?

incidentally, here's what I would use (speaking from stuff in my collection)

    Arturo Sandoval - Americana
Arturo Sandoval - For Love or Country
The Marsalis Family - A Jazz Celebration
    Steve Cole - NY LA
    Joe Sample - Invitation
Kirk Whalum - Into My Soul
    John Coltrane - Coltrane Jazz
    Chuck Mangione - Main Squeeze
Branford Marsalis - Crazy People Music
Count Basie & His Orchestra - Best of Count Basie

    :bigthumb:

actually, if anyone has a host I can use for a relatively large RAR, I'll host up some good rips for a "Jazz" test CD.

I didnt "hear" the 10hz, but it was there, you could see how slow the cone was moving when it played back. I think it was an organ buster telarc cd that it was off of.

It was a 18" blueprint 1803 woofer in a 15cuft box tuned to 18hz powered with a qsc rmx1450 amplifier. But I sold it :hs:

Ive still got pictures if you want to see it. :o

Eh, I knew it was something around there :dunno:

It was certainly low enough to the point I saw the cone vibrating quite far and quite slow, yet heard no sound.

Yeah, that is the enclosure for my brother's 18" PA woofer. When I first got the 1803 I wanted to test it out quick so I mounted it to that box :o
