i've heard so many people eating this when they're on a diet or trying to eat healthy... what is so special about it?

also -- ive heard it being considered a protein food, not a calcium, is that so?

It is a good source of protein, and digests slow, which is good for before bed.

high protien, low carbs, low fat in some versions, slow digesting protein is good for helping your body get fed overnight & between meals, no preperation time, easy to eat.

Cottage cheese is nasty. I can't really taste it because I mix w/ jello, but the texture is disgusting

You can eat it whenever, but for what it does it is probably better if taken at night. When you sleep its like 8 hours of just not eating, which is pretty long.

i'd say the slow absorption thing really isn't a big deal...i'd say it's all about low cals, high protein, filling, and easy to eat

I used to hate cottage cheese too, but theres this all you can eat fish fry/salad bar down the street from me on friday nights for like 7 dollars that has absolutely delicious cottage cheese. I just wish I knew where to get shit that tastes that good. All the kinds i've bought in stores taste terrible.

protein is good no matter what you're doing. cottage cheese is low in fat & carbs. there's no harm in it.

    it's good for everyone.

you should be concerned with your total caloric intake, not specific foods (for the most part)

calcium has aslo been shown to aid in fat loss.

cottage cheese is great for bulking or cutting.
