we got a free dell dj ditty with our laptop purchase in December and I'm finally getting around to loading it up.

Not sure yet what I want to put on it.

    This one's got a whopping non-upgradeable 512mb :ugh:
My old one has 128 but i can slip a SD into it (just need to get a 1 or 2gb one and i'm set)

I use an x5l with a swapped 80GB hdd. I highly recommend using a solid state hdd player for teh gym, but I just throw it in my pocket, and don't bang it arround. If for some reason I ever try this "cardio" thing, I'll sit it on the hamster machine so I don't damage it.

I got a 1 gig Sandisk Sansa on sale at Best Buy. I also use it as a jump drive, and it has a little gel case to clip on my pants, works well.

I use a muvo 256mb, its great, because it is nearly indestructible, I did however destroy my stock headphones in a fit of rage, so i got some sony ones , the ear plug variety, nd they are much better. gel case FTW

    Pros:
    light weight, maybee 3 ounces
    Tough
    easy to use
    cheap

    Cons:
    small storage capacity
    not fancy
battery life is not great-single AAA

For the gym, 512 mb is probably sufficient. I kinda wish I had something smaller; 20 gb iPod moves around a lot in the pocket of my gym pants. :hsd: I don't really have any of those "RAHHH HANS & FRANZ PAHMP MEEH AHP" playlists, I just listen to whatever's catching my fancy as of late.

    For good measure:

30gig iPod Video. It's pretty small, actually. I have no problem carrying it while I'm running. And I have everything from classical to rap on it, but while I run I only listen to trance and rap.

Some POS Phillips Rush 128MB. I've never even used the built in memory though, I just thow in a 1GB SD Card. That way if I destroy it I can easily replace. I'd be way to nervous carrying my iPod while lifting or running.
