Planning on shooting a lot more, putting together a checklist. So, what do you take with you, for an outdoor range as well as indoor?

    - eyes
    - ears
    - ammo
    - mags/speedloaders
    - tools (which tools, what kind?)

    Suggestions?

I have two range bags when I go shoot. One that stays in the car that contains all of my back ups, like back up gun, back up holsters, mag pouches, clothes and my tackle box of cleaning stuff.

the other range bag goes with me from stage to stage (I shoot compeitively) and contains stuff I absolutely need readily available.

Ammo, eye's and ears, gun rug w/ gun, magazines, screwdriver, hex set, hammer and rod (in case of a squib round), Cigar holder w/ cigar, Lead Free wipes, and fog free wipes for my shooting glasses, and engergy bar and something to drink and a brass bag to collect my brass.

    Weapon Shield FTW.
and I usually bring the cleaning kit and end up going back to one of the friends houses after shooting to chill out and tear down/clean them after shooting.

I know you shoot USPSA/IPSC--are you in Western Washington? You might know my uncle, Steve Hunter. Not sure how much he shoots anymore (arthritis ftl :sad2:), but up until a couple years ago, he was very active in USPSA & IPSC. He was nationally ranked and invited to the Championships, for limited, I think.

I know alot of Steves, but unfortunately I go by first name only with alot of these guys. do you know what club he's apart of? I'm with NWPPA.

If I don't know him personally I probably know him by face. I go to all of the matches, so I'm sure I've seen him at some time. I'm a nationally ranked Sharp Shooter in SSP.

I do outside, but indoor it depends on how well lit the range is.

    Always in the bag:
Clear & Yellow eyes (extra for guest)
    Muffs
    Extra earplugs
    Staple gun
Flat head & phillips - Both normal and small
Every allen wrench any of the guns use
small thing of oil and hoppes
    boresnakes
    couple of targets
    AR & 22/45 speedloaders
    box of .22s
    ziploc bags (for brass)

Then I add the gun, ammo, magazines, and targets

Never worn them and never thought about it. Even after seeing numerous kabooms.
