Every time I do curls, up and down the bottom of my forearm is like fire. Very intense pain. Just for an instant. I can press down, and run my fingers up and down the bone of my forearm, and its tender.

I don't have health insurance, so I cannot consult a doctor. Any tips what I can do?

Weak forearm muscles. The bone can barely support the weight because it can't recruit enough muscles to do the job.

Could be plenty of things, any kind of traumatic event to the forearm lately? Your forearm has two bones, does it hurt running your finger down eaach of them? On each side of your arm? (palm side and back of hand side)

only the palm side hurts. I haven't really done anything tramatic to them, I guess they just aren't strong enough. Should I start stepping the weight down, or just take longer intervals.

Have you got any swelling or skin discolouration? Numbness/tingly in fingers? Also, if you push on that lump at your elbow joint that is on the inside of the arm, is there any pain?

I would hazard a guess your occupation requires some activation of the forearm flexors, else you are just straining in the gym, but it sounds like RSI/CTD, I would stop doing what makes it painful and look around google for info on the conditions, or get some health insurance and see a doctor

dude that shit bothered me for like years

i took a long break from lifting; started using the EZ curl bar; and i guess my forearms also got stronger

but even now, if i try to curl more than 80lbs or so using a straight barbell, i can feel the pain coming back

i tried the EZ curl today, and it still hurt really bad. However, I tried the cable machine for the first time, and thats the way to go. I still did the concentrations with db's and that was fine, just for some reason I can't do the curls.
