Well my ankle is just now letting me do some things like squat. So I started last night pretty light.

    2 sets of 135 x 8
    2 sets of 155 x 4

I felt decently comfortable last night, although this morning my ankle felt a little odd. But the aching just went away about an hour ago. I so I guess it will be ok for me to continue it.

    I'm doing a pathetic 225 x 10 for 6 sets

weather changed and my knee tightens up and kills like a bitch for leg days.

Only started doing them again recently.
Been doing what's considered olympic style I guess, with a narror stance and high bar placement and ass to grass.
Been very cautious with the weight so today did 10 sets with 195. Only 3 reps per set though and 1 min rest.

i read somewhere (i believe on elitefts) that doing a lot of sets with lower reps is a really good way to work on form because your first few reps are generally the tightest and can get you used to good form. are you doing it for this reason or just because you prefer a lot of sets with more reps?

did you just start doing olympic style?

I got the idea from an article by Pavel of high weight (for me for now)/ low reps/ less rest time. So I'm also currently anti failure.

Actually, my squats have always been high bar/ narrow stance. At times though when my knees were bothering me and I was usin gheavier weights I would only go until parallel.

I stopped doing squats before because had a numbness and sometimes pain running down my left leg. Possibly sciatic related?

I am going to try for atleast 345 x 3 today if not 345 x 5. On Monday I did:
    265 x 5
    285 x 5
    305 x 5
    325 x 3
    345 x 1

Wide stance, just to parallel with Metal squat briefs and no belt.

I remember an asian guy who posted here briefly... totally broly... and he was saying he never exceed 225 for squats. JOSHEPH I think was his name.

Reading this sortof gives me hope. Because while building legs in a priority, I don't want to use more than 225lbs for squats.

I was doing 1 set 6x225 at the beginning of October, but now its down to 3x225. Embarressing. I think this summer I could have gotten to nearly 245x5 if my fucking meniscus didnt screw me over.

well depends on what your goals are. I mean big weights build muscle. Right now I can't come near dipping in the 4's like I used to. I have to wait till near december before that happens again.

but for not working with more than 225...depends on what else he was doing. Squats are a main builder for me
