Forgot about your opt-in thing. phpList is the main mailing list software I use. Opensource and quite powerful if setup properly.

Any tips on increasing the amount of mail getting through to the end user when using phplist beyond creating an SPF record for the domain?
Not listed on any of these blacklists: http://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx , trying to send out mail to past customers, so it's not all out spam.

If you are doing legit (real optin) stuff then aweber is awesome. I've been using it for years now.

If you're doing anything sketchy or actual "spam" probably not worth it.

for some serious stuff look into Campaign Enterprise :noes:

Although that'll probably set you back a few grand :mamoru:

does that collect the email addresses too?

what are you using to collect? i thought a popover would catch everyones attention more than a form at the side of the page :dunno:
