I want to get a portable drive so I can have my iTunes library at work. I really don't want to format it FAT32, so I'd like to have it Mac format or NTFS. Which is easier to get the other to read/write to it?

Mac can read NTFS, but because of the permissions windblows puts in there, it can't write. Just another M$ issue. But HFS+ can't even be seen by Winblows, so, yeah. Nothing wrong with FAT32, my friend. Srsly the only reliable choice.

yup fat32 is fine unless you plan on having any individual files over 4gb

    Both have worked for me.

NTFS-3g via FUSE is free but can be a pain at times to setup.
Macdrive is great but costs money.
