Light polish should take care of water spots.

Megs SR2.0, or S100 SEPC depending on the sevarity of the mineral stain.

How about water spots on a windsheild? I got some on there yesterday and I want to make sure that I know what to take them off with if they don't come off with soap and water when I wash the car.

I've had good luck polishing out water spots on both paint and windows using Meguiars DACP (if severe) and Vanilla Moose or Klasee AIO if they are light.

I've found that vinegar mixed with some water and citrus juice works pretty well on windows. Using a polish works too, as Scott has already mentioned.

i second the vinegar. the acid works to break down the minerals. if not then polish away. vinegar is cheaper tho. i use about a 1:5 solution
