I've heard some good reviews, but then I've heard some pretty bad ones. Is it a good buy or would I be better off dropping my money on the A670 (or another verizon phone)? :dunno:

Great phone, definately impressed, most reviews i've read said it beats out the samsung, and after owning it for 2 weeks, I have to agree. I loved the Lg vx6000, and probably will go with LG as long as they stay at the top. Stores up to 200 pix, and 30, 15 sec video clips that can uploaded to site....phone is going for $500 on ebay! I got it through verizon for 170, after 70 rebate....jump on the offer, sold my old lg vx6000 for 150 on ebay....check out the phone

I'm stuck right now trying to decide on the VX7000 or the VX6100. The 6100 is a tri-mode phone, but I really like the look and some of the features on the 7000. I wonder how come they didn't make the 7000 a tri-mode phone considering it is more expensive.

I have the 7000 too. Actually, it is a tri mode phone but it is "disabled" for Verizon at their request. Why is the question.

A lot of the carriers have manufacturers disable certain features.

seems like verizon is the worst about disabling features.

i almost got the 6100 because of tri mode but the guy at the store said that verizon was something like 3% analog now and that number is decreasing every day

i just got the 7000 and like it a lot

I ended up getting the 7000 and I also like it alot. Service is just about the same my sisters phone (she opted for the 6100). I definitely like the look and the feel much much more than the 6100 though.

Love my VX7000. It isn't the PERFECT phone, but it's the best phone I've ever owned. It even gets reception here where I work (Underground in a concrete bunker).

LG phones are sold mainly in Korea and the U.S. No one else buys them as a lot of people shun korean made phones these days or at least korean companies for that matter.

I've been happy with LG phones lately...Korean yes but, they are competitive with Moto and Nokia.

Competitive? The 3 main competitors are Sony Ericsson, Nokia and Motorola. Closest competition in the GSM market is Samsung. Now, since this is a CDMA phone, I could see LG phones making their presence known and I can see your logic, otherwise I would laugh. :)

Yes, as far as CDMA phones in the US...not much competition. :)

you mean besides the 40+ phones they make for the european gsm market?

also seeing as lg is probably verizon's most popular brand they do hold a good market share. It depends on what company you're looking at of course....

I wouldn't say gsmarena is a good source for released phones. They show a lot of concept phones too. Also, I've never seen an LG phone sold in Europe from any of the major carriers.
