What's a good style of dress shoes for someone that's short and kinda muscular?

I'm like 5'8. When I was in France I saw a bunch of shoes, but none that really suited me. I can't really wear the ones where the ends are kinda pointy, because they add like an extra inch to the length and end up looking like clown shoes since I don't have height :hs:

It has nothing to do with your build, but look for a classic Oxford from Allen Edmonds:

The detailing should shorten your foot.

I just can't feel love for the split toe as much as i've tried to. The pair posted is pretty unoffensive but I'd prefer it not to be split.

Oxfords have diff. meanings depending where you are, but I trust you know more than I do. :big grin:

I prefer no split toe myself, also - those just came up in a quick search of Allen Edmonds.
