WEB whats a good stats/reporting tool for IIS?

    this site is hosted by me on my server, running IIS 6. i want something that gill give me a shitload of stats about my visitors, where they come from, how they navigate through the site, etc...and all the other reporting that comes bundled with web reporting software that i cant think of right now.

    what do ya'll recommend? webtrends?

    dont i have to place code on every one of my pages?

    since i have full access to the server, isnt there something i can install on the box?

    Webtrends, but it's expensive. I'd go the Google Analytics route. You can probably create a customer footer or page that gets included on all pages. Otherwise, yes, you have to put it on all pages. A good search and replace program could do that for you as well. For example, replace all instances of </body> with your script + </body> and you're done.

    I use a program called Actual Search and Replace. Google it, free to try, works really well. :)

    I go the hard route and import the site into dreamweaver and use a global find/replace. works wonders.

    We offer webalizer 2.1 as a free stats app and urchin as a paid app at work.

    google analytics for sure, you could use live stat or some of the other options but Urchin is prolly the best option
