GUN whats a bull barrel?

    and why do they call it bull barrel? how is it different from the other barrels? any special purpose?

    It's a fat thick barrel. Has some advantages: conducts and loses heat better, more accurate as it doesn't 'whip' with the shot as much, heavier so it doesn't kick as much etc..

    basically, it is most consistent from shot to shot. That is the only real advantage that it offers.

    Does not mean its more accurate. I have seen pencil barrels with great accuracy. A thicker contour barrel means better consistency.
