Lower body means waist down? So you would be doing legs twice a week?

personally i like a 3-4 day split, but for beginners or powerlifters i think the 2 day split is more beneficial. i just cant seem to get a good workout for the second muscle group after doing something like legs, after that i just want to puke and lie down

i'm gonna switch my routine up in a week or so

    monday - chest/back
    tuesday - legs/shoulders
    wednesday - rest
    thursday - chest/back
    friday - legs/shoulders

    sound like a plan?

right now, i'm going 4 days/week, training one bodypart/day, so i think the switch could be good

that's similar to what i'm doing now. I like to switch the order of muscle groups though (ie on thursday try back and then chest)

Not quite sure what you're saying in the second sentence... I'm assuming you mean that you couldn't handle a second leg day? If so, you would be surprised. If you scale volume and intensity correctly, you'll find that you can get better development while not getting nearly as sore.

bi and tri work i get with my back and chest days... heavy rows usually hit my biceps very well, for example

and as far as abs, i'll likely work those in one of my off days, since i'll be throwing cardio in for those days anyway
