    Goal is to get bigger and stronger than 6'3" 210lbs and get back to doing 295lbs for 3 like I did a few months back.

    the bench press will help you get stronger at the bench press, but you also need to find and eliminate the weaknesses you have in the lift. that is going to eb the key to becoming stronger. your set/rep scheme for the most part is not going to be the deciding factor.

    When I tried to do 295 a few days ago I did one rep and then couldn't get the second one up at all, it just layed on my chest. What can I do to help that? Normally I have the biggest problem with the first part of the lift.
