I got 1 (one) Pocket Wizard. Sis didnt know they're kind of useless with out a receiver/transmitter.
I got a battery and charger for my battery grip since its different than the battery for the camera.
And a SanDisk Extreme IV 8gb memory card.

I was thinking of exchanging the extra battery and charger for another pocket wizard. :x:

I havent run into a battery problem yet since i know to charge my battery before the next day i need em. :o

that one PW will turn into multiple cybersyncs.

may be the way to go. Since if you really need/want PW's, you'd know it already.

    Nothing camera related because:

    a) no one would have any idea what to buy
    b) i work at a camera store so i could get whatever they would for way cheaper

I assume they're just as good? What be the point of getting one vs the other aside from price?

(1)Channels for when you are shooting with a group of photographers - I never do
    (2) Range - 1600 ft for PW, vs 4-500 for Cybersyncs.

Have to admit though, most amateurs won't need anything more than Cybersyncs.

I don't see either of these being an issue except I can't seem to find them on b&h for an exchange.

I don't know that why I'm asking as be never used either. Are they less reliable?

You won't find them on b&h. Only the Alienbees website. Just sell the PW

And for their range, I've heard they are just as reliable.

I really don't think you can go wrong with them. $130 shipped for a set, vs. $165 ($190ish without rebate) for one - and you'd need two.

I assume they run on different operating frequencies? So I can't keep the pw and get a cybersync.

Hmmm I'd like to keep all my toys but I feel I'm overshooting the mark with PWs now. One thing id hate about cybersyncs is some interfering signal killing them like microwave ovens.
