    Looks good.
    #1 I don't like his expression

#6 you can't see his face. I know what he's doing, but it's too far away to really get the idea. That should be a head shot from a slightly different angle.

#7 would have been great if they were looking at the camera.

    I really like 11 and 15.

Interesting that you like two shots where they're not looking at the camera but not #7. Thanks for the feedback though. I'm too close to the pictures/subjects to be objective.

I don't have a problem with them not looking at the camera, but #7 looks like they're having fun with someone off camera. Makes me want to know who they're talking to. If they were doing the same thing at the camera, I would take it more personal and think I was part of it.

Disclaimer: These are just my opinions...I am by no means a professional.

    I really like 8, 9, 11, and 15.

The rest aren't bad, but aren't stunning either. :)

Did a little retouching on this series. I am not good with PS but I'm learning.

Haha...I didn't even notice your busted Hertz umbrella in the original. The crop is better in the last one...I like it and the bokeh is nice!

What style were you going for? The only thing that ties the photos together is the heavy vignetting, just curious. There are some decent shots, but the guy looks quite stiff in most of the shots, which makes the photos a bit awkward. I think some tighter cropping would help as well. Just my two cents.

I was trying to shoot something akin to "engagement" photos. He is a little stiff, probably because I asked him to pose instead of him really wanting to pose.

The other shots was an attempt to do some "environmental" shots with my other kid.

Even though I shoot video for a living, I'm having to totally relearn still photography portraiture, something I was never that good at in school.

Nice colors but the saturation may be a bit much IMO.

Love the composition in most of them. Also, they are great pictures but work on making their facial expressions better. Just because the picture is in focus and composed nicely doesn't mean they will like it, the first thing most people look at is their face and how they look, and if they don't look good then throw it out. Kinda like her face in this one.

I dunno man, I like them. I think the colors came out well and the subtle treatments to them only help. Yea, portraits are not the most exciting type of photographs in the world, but you did a good job nonetheless.
