I have someone interested in buying my motorcycle. I don't ride it anymore and it's just sitting in the garage collecting dust. It only has about 2000 miles on it and it is in good condition. A few minor scuffs on the tailpipe from when I laid it down :hsugh: (the only crash it's been in). Since then the side fairing has been replaced and it runs smoothly.

I've been looking on cycletrader.com and calling dealerships to find out their opinion on the matter and have gotten anywhere from $3500 to $6000. I want to give this guy a decent deal but also make sure I'm not giving it away for less than its worth.

    Thanks for any help.

this time of year...in TN....hmm. i'd say for a low miles bike (which, honestly, at its age could be a bit of a negative)... try asking $4800-5000. you will probably end up getting about 4500 for it...

I bought my 03 zx6r here in cali in august of 06 with 3700 miles for $5500.

ive got my 03 600rr up for 4800 and i've got some interest. its winter though so prices will be lower than in the spring.

id say if you dont get at least 4500 keep it til spring and put it on ebay.

Don't feel bad lowballing, especially during the winter, people are often just trying to clean out un-necessary items
