    Okay, what would you do:

    Option 1:

    Shove the following into my 4th gen Maxima and shoot for high 12s:

    VQ35
    Cams
    Fidanza flywheel
    Exedy clutch
    ARP rod bolts
    GReddy eManage Ultimate
    Walbro 255lph fuel pump
    New VQ30 timing equipment
    Hotshot headers
    Pathfinder throttle body
    Custom made aluminum adapters
    Wideband O2
    Nismo FPR
    UDP
    JDM 18x8.5 wheels w/ new sticky rubber

    Roughly $5K

    Option 2:

    2003 M45
    Black/black
    Loaded
    Alloy wheels
    21K miles
    Monthly payment of about $600 for five years
    Drive 500 miles round trip to get it

    Though that would be a sweet setup it would be a huge undertaking and probably not the most reliable. Get the M.

    fourth gen is 95-98 right? which do you have? a 95/96 or 97/98?? the second gen is alot better looking

    Because I already own the car, that plus it was given to me for nothing. A variant of the option 1 setup has already seen low 12's.

    actually, 4th gen Maximas are 95-99. the 95-96 are a slightly different style than the 97-99, mainly just a front end change and a few other things.

    i have a lightly modded 96, so i am biased on this poll. but to be honest, i would have to go with 'other'. with the max being FWD, you can only control so much power. if you really want a car to mod and work on, get a different platform, preferrably something with RWD, and go from there. with the leftover change, mod up the maxima as much as you want, but keep it as a DD.

    also, OP, i'm assuming you're on the .org, right?

    i was close. i was almost positive that nissan went in 4 year rounds on each generation with a change up after 2 years. like the B13 sentra...91 and 92 are different from the 93 and 94
