my local shop that i frequent very often has gotten a Sig certified pre-owned 226 in 9mm in this week...its an older stamped slide model and it says "made in W. Germany" on the right side of the slide....and it has german proofmarkings on the slide and frame...the shop has it for 599.99....
i dont see too many of the w.german sigs anymore and im contemplating having the shop "sit on it" for me....
    HOWEVER
ive been wanting a NIB Glock 30 for a while now....they got one in this week as well w/ serial number prefix KAC....this is an awesome serial number to me because it reminds me of knights armament. the G30 is 569.99

what do i do? i just bought an 870 tactical so i kinda busted my gun load for the next few weeks but i could probably put a 25% percent down layaway if i really wanted to...

    what would u do?
keep in mind ive owned sigs and i own glocks so its not like ill have one but not the other

I don't think the price on the sig is a huge bargain at all. I think the glock 30 would be more practical as a concealed carry gun.

While the SIG may have a W. German stamp it's not really worth much more since the SIGs are still being pumped out in large quantities. Now if the SIG P229 was no longer made, then it would be worth something.
Used SIGs are in the $350 range from cdnn.

570 seems a bit high for the Glock

Both prices are expensive. Shop around some more.

Also, he already has a g26 for concealed and a kimber 1911 for the .45 and a g19 for the 9mm - he's got a j-frame .38 a shotgun and an ar-15..so both of his choices are a waste of money, as he's already got those bases covered. the kid needs to get an SKS, an AK or some other cool novelty guns

edit: he's also got the slabside ruger markiii so he doesnt need a ltitle .22 either... maybe a 10/22 :)

570 isnt bad for the glock overall....to transfer one itd be between 20-30 dollars not including shipping costs....so even if i found one for 500...the "red tape" would bring it back up to around 570 anyway, PLUS i dont mind paying a few extra dollars for something because the owner of the shop i frequent has been good to me for a while now, and he helps me out on the price whenever he can....he usually wont hesitate to knock 10-30 off the price of something depending what it is if he can manage to...and they are good guys there so i support his business:)

i think the G30 is next....thanks guys....btw, im currently fondling my 870 tactical....this thing is so sweet....i cant wait to shoot some slugs through this thing!!
