It's a Ricoh, and it is leaving this black and magenta (well, really red) stripe on the top of every page it prints.

If it is just magenta then it is somthing in the magenta developer, and or drum assembly. It could also be the laser, laser shutter or led array on some models.

Get me a better pic/sample and I may be able to help more.

I would need model number and what not to assist with the rest.

If it is one color (C,M,Y,K) is is that drum or developer in an independant drum system.

If it is a mixture of colors it is the transfer belt, drum (in a uni-drum system), or the fuser.

I'll try to get a better pic.

The model is a Ricoh CL1000N
