What would be a reasonable, realistic diet plan just to get healthy?

Only trying to get to a healthy weight now (I'm currently 195 at just shy of 6 feet even)

I've been told to eat 4-6 times per day rather than 3 times, bulk up on the protein, try to strike a good balance with carbs

Would the following be a decent plan to start out with?

Breakfast: bowl of high-protein cereal with skim milk and a glass of orange juice (about 500 calories)
    Snack: banana (about 100 calories)
Lunch: lean lunchmeat sandwich with one slice of cheese (no condiments) on whole wheat bread with glass of skim milk and fruit (about 500 calories)
Snack 2: cup of yogurt and small glass of orange juice (about 250 calories)
Dinner: 6 oz lean protein (chicken, fish, etc.) with a whole grain starch (rice, pasta, etc.) and vegetables (about 650 calories)

Sticking to that would put me right at 2000 calories which is about the average for what several different sites have told me my BMR is. Combined with aerobic exercise (typically running a mile or more 4-6 times per week at about 7mph and lifting weights to exhaustion 3 times per week)

Does this seem like a good starting point or am I way off?

    Any help is appreciated

also most lunch meats are really not that healthy...

a better choice would be boneless/skinless chicken breast, tuna, steak, etc...

Flax cereal - about 9 grams of protein, 200 calories, and 5 grams of fat per serving

I work in a deli, I get the good stuff for cheap. It's not the processed shit meat that you would get on the supermarket shelf, the nutrition is pretty sound - and most of what I eat in terms of lunch meat is also low in sodium

yeah, but I have an inkling that exercising several times a week and eating more healthy should allow me to enjoy an epic meal once a week or so
