Just wondering which Windows apps you use and which you've found replacements for.

I use IE, but only at work. At home, I switched to FF.
I always use notepad, though I know a lot of people switched to a 3rd party text editor.
I use Windows Media Player for videos, though all of my music is in iTunes.
I love to use mspaint for basic diagrams. They come out all ghetto looking, but get the point across.
I have the Windows Firewall running at home.

actually, my original intent was which native Windows apps do you use and which have you replaced with 3rd party solutions. so, you know, IE, notepad, wordpad, calc, hyperterminal, telnet, ftp, explorer (for file management), etc. it kind of turned into something similar, but not the original intent.

mRemote is highly recommended for anyone who utilizes RDP (or VLC, Telnet, SSH, etc. for that matter). Has nifty tabbed interface and the ability to save your connection information to various servers.

At home, the only thing I use is RegexBuddy via wine.

On my Windows box at work I pretty much stick to Outlook, Putty Tray, Filezilla, EditPadPro, RegexBuddy, MS Exchange Messenger, QWS3270, WinRAR, Firefox, VMWare Workstation, TaskSwitchXP, and a couple of add-ons to make QWS a bit friendlier.
