What will happen when I stop taking creatine?

When I first started working out, I did it 5 days a week and had a whey shake after each workout. I ate a lot but never gained much weight. I started taking creatine in September and since then, I went from 165lbs to 185lbs and got a lot stronger. The only thing I changed in my routine was adding creatine to my whey shakes. I heard its bad to take creatine for a long period of time so I'll have to stop eventually. When I do stop, and just continue to take whey shakes, will I lose a lot of weight and my progress?

I think you'll lose water weight, and you won't be able to push yourself as hard as when you're on creatine...but in for more answers

But I've read that it's pretty much safe to use consistently, you don't really need to cycle it, or load it, etc, etc. It's found in meats and you piss out what you don't need

idk. if you keep a protein shake w/o creatine you should be ok as far as losing weight.

You will lose a lot of water weight. You did NOT gain 20 pounds of muscle, most of what you gained is water and it will go away when you stop using creatine.

My numbers all went up after I start taking creatine, my weight stayed the same though. I stopped recently and went back to primal n2o, less creatine, numbers haven't gone down, weight hasn't gone down ... I'm starting to think I'm one of the non responders.

Is it safe to keep taking creatine? I really really don't want to lose all the progress I've made.

If you're training right, nothing much will happen as it is a gradual decline in your system and you get some naturally when you eat red meat. You may lose some water weight. Don't worry about it.

You didn't make muscle gains, you made water gains. I personally cycle my creatine because as I understand it, you can reduce your natural production of creatine if you take it for too long. Just try to understand that you wont lose actual progress in muscle mass, you will only lose water.

I didn't want to think it would be any better, but I've found purecee to work a lot better then the powder

I never noticed any difference in my training, with or without creatine.

When I lose the water weight, will I get noticeably skinnier, or will my weight just drop and you won't be able to tell by looking at me? I keep hearing taking creatine messes with your kidneys and gives you kidney stones.
