I'm just curious... For all the big web developers in here, which languages do you strongly prefer?

asp.net; although it is not exactly a language

why? too many reasons to list but the most compelling reason is being able to write code in the .net languages i am already good with and deploying most of the application logic in versionable, compiled (sort of) dll's as opposed to loose script.

    J2EE, ASP.NET, PHP, ASP - All done professionally/commerically

Then the usual (X)HTML, CSS, DOM, JavaScript, SQL etc. And because of my mix of technologies, different platforms i.e. *nix, Windows.

I prefer C# as a language and I code in PHP in the same style that I do C#.

I don't prefer any between PHP and ASP.NET as they both have their pros and cons and I believe I can easily do the same things in both platforms, and I haven't used J2EE for years now but it's probably even more improved from when I was using it.

I use PHP/Perl/HTML/MySQL (although technically that's not a language). Dicked around in Flash a loooong time ago and made a cool interface. I know how to steal javascript ad modify it to make it work . . . sometimes.
