Know: HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL
Want to learn: Apollo, CGI/Perl, RubyOnRails, Ajax, Flash
One day I'll take the plunge into .net
I'm just curious... For all the big web developers in here, which languages do you strongly prefer?
have used but not professionally: jsp, php
trying to learn: xpi
edit: oh yeah i have done a few simple xbaps, and am currently working with xaml and wpf a little bit.
asp.net; although it is not exactly a language
why? too many reasons to list but the most compelling reason is being able to write code in the .net languages i am already good with and deploying most of the application logic in versionable, compiled (sort of) dll's as opposed to loose script.
I work for a company that does strictly ASP and ASP.NET, so I'm eagarly trying to learn.
J2EE, ASP.NET, PHP, ASP - All done professionally/commerically
I prefer C# as a language and I code in PHP in the same style that I do C#.
I don't prefer any between PHP and ASP.NET as they both have their pros and cons and I believe I can easily do the same things in both platforms, and I haven't used J2EE for years now but it's probably even more improved from when I was using it.
Wanna learn JS and AJAX.
HTML and CSS.. I've played with flash and PHP and mysql backends.. but I need to keep learning these.
