The brass and magazine aren't big enough for a .50, but it's not a supressed semi-auto. Just a 7.62NATO bolt action.

Why is it that everyone thinks every sniper rifle is a .50, or that the .50 is the best round?

I was hanging out at a gun shop the other day and some kid was in there asking about what the best sniper rifle is "I bet its the .50 huh!" and then he was talking about the Desert Eagle and how awesome that was, and wanted to know if the shop had any. Then the topic moved over to the S&W 500. even the old guys in there were still clueless...

the guy working and I just kind of kept looking at each other like "when will this idiot shut up :ugh: "

.50 desert eagle is rarely used by even special ops due to its size, weight, loudness, and above all the flash it produces when shot. while wearing night vision it will blind the fuck out of you big time. the desert eagle .50 was introduced to the Navy SEALs primarily as a weapon to shoot out commerical airliner's tires in hostage situations on airplanes on the ground.

Good to know, I was mainly guessing based on the shape of the magazine, I wasn't sure though as the .50 cal has that flared end to the barrel.
