And how long did it take to recover?

I haven't had a really bad injury (luckily), so the worst thing was tweaking my right knee a bit (damaged the meniscus) while squatting. I had to stop squatting for ~2 or 3 months, which set me back quite a bit (I was at 205x5...now I'm at 155x6 :hs:).

Groin injury from squatting. Wasn't able to squat without shooting pains in my groin for about 2 years.

I've also pulled my hamstrings multiple times. Mostly its just nagging shit like joint pain, rotator cuff problems, etc.

Lateral meniscus + ACL + MCL partial tears from skiing - took around 2 years to fully recover, still occasionally get some pain in the colder months for some reason :dunno:

other than that just small annoying shit, like my damn left elbow right now

I cracked my right femur in half in a car wreck when I was 16. I went from being in the best shape in my life to the worst shape in my life in a matter of months. After tons of PT, I have the majority of my strength, flexibility, stability, but this took years. The hip still give me trouble sometimes since It was separated for both the installation and removal of the rod. It took a very long time before I became comfortable doing squats again.

A few years ago, when I first started working out and didn't really know much about it, I overdid it on the shoulder stuff. It never came back to bite me until I started really pushing harder in the last year. Tendonosis I think and I'm taking like a three month break from anything that uses my shoulder.

Separated shoulder in lacrosse a couple years ago. It was more of a mental injury than physical.

I separated it during the last game of the season after I dropped from 220 to 175. I felt very much accomplished and I was lightning on the field. Then I separated it, got discouraged and lazy, and popped back up to 210 eventually. My metabolism really sucks so I can't get lazy.

I found motivation again and I'm on my way again (shoulder will never feel the same, and I'm trying my best to get my good lifts back).

I'm actually in the middle of cutting and will hopefully have good enough results in about a month to post before/after pics.

gym related - injured my back doing deads. took me a few weeks to recover from that.

sports related - 2 weeks ago i injured my knee while playing football/soccer. saw a physio and he said there's some swelling under the kneecap (patella?). i was told to take it easy for a few days. i did but it still swollen. it doesn't hurt or anything, just uncomfortable when i straighten it. any suggestions? tomorrow is leg day too..

How did that happen? I damaged mine playing football and landed on my knee few times. Was going to squat light today but your post got me thinking again. The week before the injury I pushed up 365 pretty easy after a full workout. Max is prolly 45 lbs. now.

Got tackled bad, broke couple bones in my foot. 3 months in a cast, first month of no walking. Then had some weird problem with lats from overworking at the job i had back then, but turned out to not be a big deal.

My knee caved inwards while I was squatting 205. I took a couple days off and it felt a little better, so I gave it another go. That was a mistake.

    crushed my left pinky.

was squatting, couldn't get back up, put the weight on the safty bars, weight rolled forward and smashed the tip of my pinky finger against the rack. it bursted and started bleeding.

I went about two weeks of no lifting as it healed.

    Its in the logs session.

My back had been real sore, so I wasnt doing anything strenuous. Or so I thought. I was doing some shrugs with 365 and it just popped. Most intesne pain shooting through my back all the way down my legs. No squatting for months :(

laterally dislocated my kneecap doing the police physical test. It was 8 weeks immobilized in a brace, 4 weeks of crutches without the brace and then 3 months of physio. It still hurts me from time to time, but I've been focusing a lot more on core exercises and strengthening the joint as a whole and it's been a lot better.
