    Start => Run => "gpedit.msc" => [OK]

    Local Computer Policy
    '-Computer Configuration
    '-Administrative Templates
    '-Network
    '-QoS Packet Scheduler
    '-Limit Reservable Bandwidth => [doubleclick] => [Enabled] => "1%" => [OK]

    Goddamn leading-space deleter, it won't let me indent the tree branch I just typed out. Each line is a subfolder of the line above it. (growl)

    my cableco advertises 5mb download. I usually download around 4.67mb/s, and I've done no tweaking, aside from removing QoS during XP install.

    Used to do this, just because it was a tweak, never saw any real gains. Getting ~6.4Mbps connection on a 6Mb line without this tweak now...no need.

    TCPOptimizer ftw
