I just installed a regular version of sp2 through parallels 3.0 and it only took up 1.87 gb

Did you have to do anything special to get 3d acceleration? dxdiag says there's no Direct3D support...

Oh, and I boot camped Vista. Runs well.

Try the barely naked version. Boot Camp burns a CD with all necessary drivers on it.

    any reason why vista?

also, what's the process? Lemme get this right:
Download barely naked XP on PC
    Burn to disk
    Run Bootcamp
    Install XP with bootcamp
    Install Parallels

    Correct?

Wanted to try it out. I like it, I don't know why everyone hates it. Well, I do, but all the drivers work for the MBP so I have no problem.

Yea pretty much that's the process. You can download XP in OSX tho :hsugh:. In the Boot Camp program, however, make sure to burn a drivers CD first.

And parallels isn't needed for Boot Camp, but if you want it go ahead.
