Where in the powerband is the extra 1 HP (that the intake is going to create) important?

Cold air intakes, at least on my car, typically have a power spike in the mid range RPMs (4500-5500) whereas the short rams have a linear power increase.

Bottom line, it won't do anything for your car except make it a little noisier. What good is adding a larger tip on your faucet if the rest of the hose attached is still as small as the original tip? The water won't come out any faster.

don't waste your money...if you want the sounds just take the resonator off your factory box.

Remove the cardboard silencer on the engine side of the MAF and hack every square inch of the airbox away, while still leaving enough of it so you can bolt it down.

The only point of getting a cold air intake is to increase the intake pipe diameter and pull air from outside the engine bay. If you live in a cold climate, the second one doesn't matter, and if your car already has a fairly straight air path, the first one doesn't matter either.

n/a 2g eclipse's don't have maf's, and the airbox isn't metal like the older cars..hack the oem plastic one up too much and it will just fall apart.
