So, since my external pooped out, I need a new external HD to replace it. I don't feel like spending more money on a case, since I already have one, so what type of HD would I need for the external? Is it just a regular PC HD? like, one that you can just install in a regular computer?
    Thanks

Its probably an ATA100/133 (aka IDE) drive inside. Yeah, its the same as an internal drive you'd put inside a PC.

Depends on the size of the case and if you can even get it open.
Open it up first then you'll know what kind of HDD to get.

I've got one that uses a laptop size HDD.
