some 15 dollar velbon
i have been looking for a manfrotto 3021 for a good price. fell in love with it the other day at the camera shop.
I love this thing.
How much do manfrotto's go for usually?...i saw some on pricegrabber for around $100
But mine is for video.
seems like a bit overkill
Well my camera weighs about 12lbs and I'm tele a lot so I don't want anything that's unstable. Like I said, it's for video.
Bogen Neotec 458B with 3 different heads. Wish I had got something more sturdy, but it is kinda cool for lighterweight setups
since theres no gears or levers, setup takes about 5 seconds. weighs under 5lbs without head, so its kinda in the middle of the weight class
what exactly are the different heads for?
3way pan tilt for when I was using a large format camera. its big and heavy but allows for extreme tightening and more controlled adjustments.
squeeze handle for sports or shoots when fast movements are needed
ball head for everyday use and travel, lightest and smallest on the heads
3011 with a big ass 3126 head on it
Manfrotto 055MF3 with a 3030 head that I'm going to replace with an RRS BH-55 ball head.
Gitzo MKII Mountaineer Reporter, Arcaswiss B-1, Wimberly Sidekick
Manfrotto/Bogen 055MF4 322RC2 QR
Love the Gitzo, hate the bogen, so flimsy I can barely mount a full body DSLR on it and don't even think about raising the center column.
Sachtler 18 PLUS Carbon Fiber Tripod System
I don't see $7 grand worth of carbon fiber?
... I can't even say I wish on this thing.
nevermind, I'm sure you already know...
Derrict has a pretty nice tripod setup, I'm suprised I beat him in here.
How much? And how low does it go??
I have a Sunpak 9001 UT, it's pretty nice and solid for around $70.
retail is 299 for legs, goes really low.
bogen/gitzo has decent student pricing
I'm just dreaming/planning for the future, I keep forgetting that I told my girl that I'll stop buying camera equipment for alittle while so I can pay off other bills.
i said that, then turned around and bought the epson 4800. i just have to show that it saves money in the end
