    I have a P229R DAK 9mm and M&P 9c right now.

Oh yeah, I been thinking about a G29 10mm but have no use for it.

AR, it'll possibly be the first thing banned.

For the 10/22, I figure $230 for a new one, $60 for Hogue stock cover, $200 for barrel, and the other stuff for other upgrades.

Give me some recommendations on an upper and other stuff I need for an short AR like you described. Im a newbie and only went as far as deciding getting on a Stag or MEGA lower and RRA LPK.

    There's no reason a 10/22 project should cost $700.

    $180 - The gun
    $130 - Nice barrel
    $55 - Internals
    $20 - Bedding kit
$100 - Stock (at most, unless you go with a crazy customized one)
    $115 - Mueller APV
    $20 scope mounts

That's $440 and it will be a tack driver. You can get higher end stuff, but after the $450 you start to really see the diminishing returns.

That said, get the AR first.

I'd probably get the XS Big Dot sights for the G19 so $485 + $120.

Here is my AR15 build. I dont know what upper to get.

$140 - Noveske stripped lower receiver
$68 - Rock River Arms LPK
$35 - Magpul MIAD Modular Full Grip Kit

What upper should I save for? I dont know the first thing about them other than I want a fully built one since I dont have the tools/knowledge to put one together correctly. I like the look of the flat tops.

Get a flat top for sure, the rest is up to your preference. :dunno:
