What to do?? vfinger jarred

    i jarred my finger(middle) pretty bad with a bball, 1 day later (now) its bruised up pretty bad... should i put ice on it? or put heat i always get confused :hs:

    also i heard taping the injured finger and the one next to it helps?

    can you move it at all? how much/if at all, does it hurt when you move it? put ice on it when you can, usually 15-20 min at a time. tape it to your index finger for daily use. give it a day or two, then think about seeing a doc if it doesnt improve at all. no need to waste money for a doc visit when you just jammed it.

    i cant really move it, just keep it at a relaxed position. cant make a fist or stretch it out completly straight.

    if it doesnt heal up soon ill see a doc, thanx guys

    see a doc asap

    my mom dislocated her middle finger, and waited too long (a week), now she needs some reconstructive surgery to try to relocate the ligaments. Its possible that the surgery won't fix it, which means either a permanently locked finger or an artificial joint.
