what to do to keep muscle

    alright well i cant lift at all and cant doing any cardio because i hurt my back and it needs time to rest (at lleast 2 months).
    ive been lifting for awhile and dont wanna loss all the work i put in.
    would it be smart to have a protein shake when i wake up and before bed?
    does anyone have goodtips to stay in the best shape under these circumstances?
    also im taking muscle relaxers do they affect the muscles, like will they cause they to get smaller or lose power ?
