What timber stain colour and light backdrop would work well?

A cabinet maker is comming in a few days and he will be measuring and inspecting the place so i should have a rough idea of the custom table design and colour stain.

I've done an MSPaint visual what i think the desk layout should be and as for colour i think it should be similar to the desk already in this pic but mayber darker? Also those funky colours are suppose to be LED lights glowing the hollow boxes, which will be hidden on the floor behind the console. I dunno how it'll turn out but colour on brick should look sweet.

I'd personally probably go as dark as you can with the stain, but if it's a small space it might make it feel smaller than it already is. With brick, you can pretty much go with whatever wood color you want as long as you keep all the wood tones consistent :hs:

As in along the same colour as the door or the door frames? Well i dunno about dark as possible since a lot of my equipment will be black so it won't stand out as much (that silver pc is just there for reference, i have a black one).

I meant more like the rest of the shelves or furniture in the room. You can't really expect to have your furniture match the frames.

Well the only furniture in the room is my bed and i can change the sheets accordingly. Since the dj booth is most likely the focal point it can be one of the main primary colours of the room.

So i could paint walls around if that little booth will look better.
