just rebooted my machine, what is raping my god damned memory
you have aids
404 problem not found
You don't see a problem with a freshly rebooted machine using 1GB of ram on nothing?
its how modern operating systems are, it will juggle memory as needed. stop measuring until you have a problem.
You have less than 200mb being used by programs and 400mb by the OS. Total used is 600mb. Last time i check, that wasn't a GB.
At any rate, its normal.
Depending on the model, 256MB of memory could be diverted to the video card as well.
OS X is a memory whore. Always has been and always will be. As others have said, don't worry about what's being used by what unless you're experiencing problems.
exactly...not sure how 600mb = 1gb.
