I do my squat with my feet just wider than my shoulders (so a lot of glut involvement). My weak point on my squat is at parallel to about 6 inches up. After that ROM the weight goes up easy. What supplemental exercises help this area of the squat? I want to add it on my squat days to help me out.

    much thanks!

Well I'm looking for some more exercise to do along with my squats. There should be something to help out this particular ROM.

PS I notice on several power lifting max effort squats many people get out of this ROM by lifting their butts up and letting the weight not move at all. Then they'll do a little good morning type movement with their back along with the regular squat to get the weight totally up.

I currently do squats, deadlifts and leg curls (sometimes). The basic 5x5 program.

if you are a wide stance squatter, leg curls wont do shit for you. do some SLDLs, RDLS, pull thrus.

low box squatting will help too. You should also squat lower then normal too, this will help you drive through your sticking point

Awesome thanks for the advice. It makes sense.
I hope I can find some sort of box to sit on today lol. Hmm the benchs are a bit too high.

I'm not sure if going below parallel will help. I'm afraid my weak ROM always starts wherever I am lowest. So if I go lower I'll be weak there too rather than being able to drive through it.

man I wish there were strong guys like ray or maine at my gym to ask for advice. Heck nobody even does parallel squats at my gym just blinger ones.

if he is having trouble from 90 up to 6 inches, that is his weak point, leg curls or any of that bullshit wont help him. deep squatting will.

when I'm in a bind, I'll stack some plates up or find a base and put plates on top of that to sit on
