Damn good article. Nothing surprising in there, though.

seems to have a good handle on the various gun owner segments. I think he is more optimistic about not having a ban than I am though.

    Cliffs:
-Demand is up, supply is down
    -Won't stay that way forever
-Gun owners are more organized these days
-AWB v.2 is unlikely because lolocrats remember the 1996 elections
-Metal prices have fallen through the floor, but ammo prices haven't followed

I think we'll get one, but it won't be until Obama's second term in office (if he gets one).

I think this guy is right at least for the next 6 years, they're going to try and pass the shit that there is not a unified front on, health care, welfare, nationalized banking, etc.

I think this can be backed up by the fact that Eric Holder started spouting off about an AWB and Henry Reid and Nancy Pelosi reined him in like a little bitch.

Surprisingly good article, mostly stuff I've been saying for a while now. ;) He seems to imply that fears of an AWB may be unjustified, and while I think it is unlikely one would pass, I don't think those fears are unjustified when the people in power openly say they support them. I also fear he may be too optimistic on the protection heller may provide against a feature based ban.

Ammo prices will fall, I'm waiting to restock.

Makes sense, I've thought this way too.

Same. I buy exactly what I need to do regular practice, rotating it through my modest stock. I'll wait for the drop.

Good read. I am sticking to surplus and reloading my own ammo for now, will stock up when prices drop.
