I'm hoping on getting a helix orbital done soon, left ear, but I'm unsure of the gauge to get done. I don't want a large diameter ring, but I like a little thicker. Its between 16, 14, 12, or perhaps 10. What do you guys think would be a good size? 16 and 14 are pretty small. I like the idea of a 10 because I could always put in tunnels if I wanted to, and I have more 10g jewlery.

Go for the 10 :dunno: my conch is a 10g and so far it's the best healing/easiest ear piercing out of the 16 that i have.

I'm going to see if I can get a job this week. if I can't, or if I get one where I can wear earrings, I'm going to try and find a place that can do it.
I would do it myself but its cartilage and this will be hard to do myself.

Oh also, they can just pierce it with a needle at 10 right? I don't want to get it punched. If they can't pierce it at 10, I'm just going to streach it myself right away, never had a blowout when I went from regular needle to 10 then a little bit later(less than 1 day) to 6.

not a bad price:big grin: depending on the experiance for the tip, if you would go back to that piercer tip better, if the experiance was bad tip at least 10%...... but always tip. I paid $85 for my conch, I know that was high but it was so worth it! Everything seems more expensive on the east coast.

as long as your piercer looks clean, legit, and semi-enthusiastic about sticking a needle in your ear you should be fine marshy. tip wise i think i paid $70 for my conch and tipped 10 bucks, the guy was nice.
