I'm starting my new job as a financial analyst on Monday. Its a casual office job with about 30 people in offices/cubicles.

Should I be wearing jeans and a button up shirt with maybe some dress shoes? Or go slacks, button up shirt? Or maybe tennis shoes? Ahhhh I need some help!

Totally depends on the company culture. I assume you did at least 1 on site interview. Did you see what everyone else was wearing? Dress one notch above that. It will show your superiors you mean a little bit more business than everyone else without looking like a cocksucker.

Financial Analyst to me means a button up, tie, slacks, dress shoes. Possible dark jeans and a sweater or blazer on Fridays.

Btw you have the job I wanted out of college.

i would probably wear slacks, button down and a tie, like most other office jobs :dunno:

why dont you just wear what everyone else was wearing when you had an interview? didn't you see other people there?

:werd: for the first day especially since you are unsure, it is much better to be overdressed than under

Yeah, my boss was wearing button down shirt, jeans, dress shoes. I'll stick with slacks, shirt and shoes the first day. Then feel it out. I didn't pay attention to what they were wearing because I was more worried about the interview. They flew me in so I was only in the city for about 12 hours.

if your boss was wearing jeans then wear jeans if you want. they arent goign to give a fuck if you come in dressed slightly nicer. as long as you dont look like a slob no one is goign to care what you wear.

    Slacks, button up and tie

You can always take the tie off.
