What should i use to customize my windows appearances?

    an ideas for a program that is good? I want to be able to change the entire appearance and thmes and stuff for my windows

    If you want crazy customization use Linux. I use SuSe 9.3 in a dual-boot with WinXP(just for games)

    why install that when you can just patch the uxtheme.dll?

    because that's a hack that can cause problems down the road. Plus stylexp supports some nice extras, and has a good interface.

    Stylexp does the same thing, except it modifies the code in memory instead of the file. So if there were such problems down the road, I don't see how with this patch, then if stylexp loads on startup it would do the same thing if the code were patched in the file.

    I have 2 machines at home, one uses stylexp, first i ever used, and probably the easiest to use, interface wise.


    My other machine uses windowblinds, both are great programs.

    I've had it for about a year now and it has only crashed a few times... At least when it does, you don't lose everything running in the taskbar next to the clock like when explorer crashes, you can just re-run it from task manager and start where you left off.

    If definitely doesn't crash as much as explorer though...
