I'd get more use out of the HTIB, it would replace my 10+ year old Pioneer 5.1 system that doesn't handle any HD audio. For the rifle I'd probably get the .44 but wouldn't rule out .45
    Should have my refund friday.

Get the .44 Henry. Especially if you have any interest in a revolver later (or already have one) Ammo is cheaper and easier to find too.

My dad has the .22LR Henry and its pretty fun to shoot. Action is uber smooth.

I have the speaker system, and I like it a lot, my vote goes for that. I need to buy a house so I can use it at it's full potential during movies though.

That's tough. I have an appreciation for all of the options and the tradoff of frequency of use balances it right out to me...

Tough call. You did say that you could replace/upgrade speakers since that's the receiver you want anyway. Plus you want better sound and I know you have an arsenal already.

On the other hand...what is the current administration going to do about firearms? :noes:

I'm split down the middle between the 44 and the surround system. How big is your TV? What I'm getting at is does the size of your TV justify a surround system like that.

    It'll be used on a 42" 1080p toshiba LCD (42rv530)

I doubt Obama will be banning lever actions anytime soon. :noes:

I would go for the sound system, but I've heard that you may be better off by just getting the reciever, and then buying your own speakers of better quality. As long as that is the receiver that processes 7.1 over hdmi, unlike I think the 6100 does, you'd be good.

Yeah the 7100 does all the processing/decoding its not just a pass through hdmi. Buying all your components separately can get you a nicer system but it'll also bump the price up a few hundred. The included speakers seem to get pretty good reviews on the AV sites.

I'll go with the home theater then and upgrade the speakers eventually for a cleaner sounding system.

And stock up on ammo :mamoru:

While I would like the .44mag.

Sounds like the speakers would give you better functionality and utility at this juncture.
