Sperry's are great, good price. If you want to spend more get some Quoddy's
    http://www.quoddytrail.com/BoatShoes.htm

But they're a good deal more expensive. If the jeans are slim enough and hemmed to the right length you could wear loafers too, like a driving moc or something. But some sperry top sider (boat shoes) are pretty much a guaranteed hit.

I googled slides, but they all looked gay. My husband has a light tan pair that are business at the front, party at the back, but I couldn't find a picture.

    They do it for me

:dunno: as I said, not as high at the back as the ones pictured, but that style works for me.

But then again I am pro comfort, not looks :big grin: (and yes, I know this is the style lab)

PS to the OP that bag is amazing and is exactly something I've been looking for. Thanks for posting all those ebay links.

Here are some Sperry's I'd recommend. They look a lot better with wear so make no judgements from the pictures.

I currently only have a pair in Sahara and they go with any color jean, any color khaki, pretty much perfect. If I were you I'd go with either sahara or classic brown. If you find that you like them, maybe get a pair of ice (basically white). The ice ones are pretty much only for the summer and spring months but look good with colored pants depending how vineyard you're willing to go.

I don't have any experience with these but I'm really interested by the suede sperrys that JCrew has in stock now...

And just for reference these are the driving mocs

+1 to boats. sperrys, band of outsiders, sebago, quoddys are all good. I have two pairs of cole haans that I have never worn but they look and feel good too.

you could also do a rubber-soled penny loafer.

there are probably more options that im not thinking of.

tie the laces in a tie like they are in the pictures like a normal shoelace.

and in the winter you can maybe do wool socks or like argyles, otherwise no socks.

    awesome reply  thank you

I really like the top-sider Sahara. They look great. The only problem with me is that I'm a 12 wide, which, just my luck, that site doesn't have. How do they work out? Do they come bigger or smaller than other shoes? In lots of dress shoes I actually wear a 13, which the site does have available.

I feel like they run a bit big but idk. I'm a 10 in nike's and vans and a 9.5 in all loafers and any other dress shoes, and I'm a 9.5 in sperry's. They stretch a TON and their wides are really SUPER wide. I have a really fucking wide foot and I prefer to have the regular widths stretch out to my size than buying wides from the get go...
